A Personalized Approach

Your journey is unique. Your medical history, lifestyle, nutrition, activity, medications, goals and individual health needs are all considered when developing your treatment plan.

Care may include:

  • Comprehensive medical assessment
  • Personalized weight-management plans
  • Evidence-based weight-management medications when clinically appropriate
  • Nutrition and protein guidance
  • Strategies to support muscle preservation
  • Body-composition and progress monitoring
  • Medication and side-effect management
  • Ongoing treatment adjustments
  • Long-term weight-maintenance strategies

More Than Medication

Medications such as GLP-1s can be an important tool for appropriate patients—but they are not the entire treatment plan.

At ThriveCare, care looks at the bigger picture to determine whether medication is appropriate, how it fits into your goals, and what other strategies can support sustainable results.

No, you do not need a referral. You can start with a complimentary 15‑minute virtual meet and greet. If you have a primary care provider, collaboration with them to support your goals is always welcome.

Are visits virtual?

All appointments are virtual, so you can meet with your nurse practitioner from the comfort of home. ThriveCare is based in Ontario.

How much does it cost, and is it covered?

Nurse practitioner visits aren’t covered by OHIP, so visits are paid privately, though they may be covered under your extended health benefits. You’ll find details about each visit in the Fees section.

Can you prescribe medication?

How does ThriveCare protect my privacy?

Your privacy is taken seriously. All consultations are confidential, and ThriveCare follows Canadian and provincial privacy laws to protect your personal health information.
